Another winner, Debra. I find the great thing about Osprey nests, they are usually out in the open and easy to spot. We have a nesting pair of Bald Eagles in the are, but the nest they used for many years fell down. We now have no idea where the nest is.

You are right about the Osprey’s nest Jane. I have the same problem with the bald eagles around here I have no idea where their nest is. Thanks for your comments Jane.

Lovable shot Debra. Agree all the way with Heather. Your doing great with that 600mm, showing a nice tenderness between those two. What's next.

Debra Plett

Hi Yves, thx for the feedback. The male is busy proving himself worthy to the female by providing sticks for strengthening the nest and bringing fish. I don’t overstay my welcome so they can get busy making the family.

Heather Mellon

Great shot Debra, and what a handsome looking pair they are. You got some great detail on their beautiful markings and they stand out beautifully against the clear sky.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Heather. I was very happy to see The Osprey return to this nest.

Description
I was happy to see an Osprey couple occupy the nest for the 2024 breeding season. Female is on the left sitting lower in the nest. They arrived back approximately 5 days ago.
